About Escada ESCADA is the international luxury fashion group in women´s designer fashion. It has pursued a course of steady expansion since its founding in 1976 by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley and today has nearly 440 shops and corners in more than 60 countries. Business activities of the ESCADA Group distinguish between core and non-core businesses. The core business includes ESCADA Collection (including Couture), ESCADA Sport and ESCADA Accessories and Licenses (glasses, perfume, scarves and ties and a diamond jewelry collection). It is planned that all of the non-core businesses (Primera Group, Féraud Group and Laurèl GmbH) will be divested. The sale of the perfume business, ESCADA Beauté Group, was completed in early April 2002. Strategic concentration on the core brand ESCADA and its continuing development will provide for profitable growth in the future.
