Why are we different?

Get Favourites is a hand built search directory. One of its main strengths over other search directories is that it does not direct you to hundreds of minor or discontinued sites, it directs you to quality definitive information.

All the main, official, professional sites can be found here. We select sites by hand using defined criteria.

Our vision is to 'create the most useful Internet resource in the UK & USA' and this along with service to our users will always be our top priority. As well as adding a bit of colour

We charge fees for  for inclusion but this in no way colours! our view of inclusions. We have very low overheads and are not dependent on these fees to survive. We will include any web site free of charge if it meets our criteria and we think our users will find it useful. Our aim is excellence in information management not income generation, as is obvious from our low fees and free inclusions. All subscription or paid for inclusion revenues are used to promote and run the Get Favourites Network

Advertising.

We limit the amount of banner advertising on our site to an acceptable level, we do not use any pop adverts. Again all revenues from advertising is used to enhance the service we provide.

Only reputable, professional web sites are included, and they are continually checked to ensure that no redundant sites are listed. Every URL included in Get Favourites Network is evaluated by a member of the editorial team and so the team has a massive knowledge of all the web site information.

Popularity

Popularity amongst our visitors is very important. We are lucky in that we have a huge returning visitor base and receive many comments regarding web sites that should or should not be included and about web sites that are already included. Obviously the popularity of a site with our users is very important to us when including a site.
